After GIC AFATEX, two others cameroonian companies, CAMEROON TEA ESTATE and NDAWARA TEA ESTATE shipped their products under the AfCFTA Guided Trade regime on October 19, 2022. The said products are covered by an AfCFTA certificate of origin issued by Mr. Achille OLEME, Head of the Main Customs Office at Douala International Airport.

A new era is thus dawning for cameroonian companies which are resolutely committed to taking advantage of this immense opportunity in an open economy on a continental scale. Cameroonian Customs, an essential link in terms of certification of origin, fully plays its part alongside the Ministry of Commerce and other stakeholders, to ensure access of products made in Cameroon to the Continental Market.
