The Cameroon Customs Administration is currently being represented in China for the Cross-Regional “Operation Thunder – Enforcement Responses to Illegal Wildlife Trade” by :

– Dr. MBI LEONARE NTUI, Inspector of Customs

– Madam MARIE NOELLE ABOUD, Senior Controller of Customs

This workshop brings together Customs Administrations from Africa, China and Asia to brainstorm and propose adequate measures for a global response to the fight against illegal wildlife trade.

Within three days (15 – 17 September 2026), participants will examine core customs functions in this area, which include:

– Permit and document verification,

– Risk profiling and targeting,

– Physical inspection and detection, and

– Enforcement action.
